Homecoming

Cast sunlight out of your eyes
While you fall into yourself
Music melts in syrupy sorrow
Clouds above disperse and don't cause a scene
Fires settle down to a cool glow
With no chance of combustion

Your fatigued ship has docked
Step out onto solid land found
The subtle breeze isn't interested in sails
But tenderly caresses sensitive skin
A bud opens
A wall punctured
A sigh in the night

Sweetness fills noticing nostrils
Bundled in a warmness
Dissolving form hangs still
Legs forget their make
While thoughts drip away
Into space & pillow

Created from dreams & shadows
Return to this ether
This foreign land
Which we recognise as ours
